Victoria Falls

Victoria Falls one of the Seven Natural Wonders

Victoria Falls in one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World lives up to their reputation of being spectacular.  The natives call the Falls “the smoke that thunders”. While the main attraction is the Falls, there is great shopping for African hand crafts and intricate wood carvings along with other scenic activities. One of the great ways to see the Falls is by taking a helicopter ride over them.

Another option is a breakfast or sundowner cruises on the Zambezi as it’s a great way to safely see hippos, crocks, and elephants while dining or sipping a beverage on the famous and mighty river.

Excellent game viewing can be associated with a visit to the Falls area at some of the lodges below.  In addition, check out ZIMBABWE and or Botswana for other game viewing options within easy reach of Victoria Falls.

Price Key to Victoria Falls Area Properties:

These prices are per room for Bed & Breakfast, except for Elephant Camp which is inclusive of all meals and local drinks. They are a guideline only; final price will depend on the rates at time of booking, as there are sometimes seasonal specials.  They are all well located, clean and comfortable.

$$$ = $300 per room
$$$$ = $400 per room
$$$$$ = $500 + per room

Property Comparisons:

In order to distinguish between properties we have rated them for amenities, style, level of service, and ambiance.  This is to give you a reference of how we think they rate against the others properties listed for a particular destination.  They are all lovely properties that we have stayed in, so there is no bad or wrong choice.

The more †'s we give a property, the higher it ranks against other properties for that category and is useful only for property comparisons.  This is not the same as a “Star Rating” system for properties and hotels given out by Tourism Organizations or Government Hotel rating services.
