The Palace

Golf at one of the Most Opulent Hotels in the World

The Palace of the Lost City at Sun City is one of the most opulent Hotels in the world.  It’s a tribute to man's imagination and is revered for its art and architecture.  It is worth the trip to Africa just to see it, as it’s truly one of the “World’s Leading Hotels”.  The Palace lavishes its guests with 5-star service, and is luxurious in every facet of its fabulous architecture and décor.  There is also “Big Five” game viewing at nearby Pilansberg National Park.  Experience exquisitely prepared international cuisine, at the Crystal Court, or classic regional Italian cuisine at Villa del Palazzo for great dining experiences.  There is so much beauty and art to behold in this hotel that each visit reveals something new.

Golf at Sun City

The Gary Player Country Club is acknowledged as a difficult and demanding course.  A variety of tees make it possible to shorten the course and render playable for all levels of golfers.  A distinguishing feature of the course is its green's complexes, with strategically placed bunkers, swales and mounds that protect the super slick clover shaped greens.

Golfers are astounded by the breathtaking beauty of the par-72 Lost City Golf course.  The rich green fairways give a dramatic contrast to the bushveld backdrop.  Gary Player has acknowledged it as one of his favorite courses with spectacular African views.  Gary says that playing the back nine is like going on a golf safari.  No effort was spared to make the course a masterpiece.  However, golfers are discouraged from retrieving their wayward balls from the croc-infested pools.
